Government Agrees for Two Demands out of Three on GST, Will Discuss on Soon

Prime Minister Narendra Modi had invited Congress president Sonia Gandhi and former Prime Minister Manmohan Singh for tea. This meeting over tea was held at Modi’s official residence in New Delhi. During the meeting, both the parties discussed on the Goods and Services Tax Bill. According to the resources, the two demands of the three put forward by the congress party on the GST during the meeting. Source stated that the Government has indicated that it may agree to the 18% limit on Goods & Services Tax . The government is also likely to waive off 1% levy for manufacturing states. ICAI Guidelines to Create a CA or CA Firm website

Before developing a CA/CA firm website, you need to follow the guidelines of ICAI (Institute of Chartered Accountants of India). The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) prohibits the members from promoting their work by advertising, circular, personal communication and by other medium. The ICAI, under the Chartered Accountant Act, 1949 has laid down its guidelines to post their particulars on the website. Recently, the council has made some changes to the sub-Clauses (8) or (20) of the existing guidelines. In the updated guidelines, the sub-clause (8) will permit for the display of passport size photograph and sub-clause (20) will provide the links of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA), The Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). Income Tax Return Due Date Extended to 31-08-2015 From 31-06-2015

Due to further change in ITR form, the due-date of Income Tax filing has been extended to 31st August from 31st July for the Assessment Year of 2015-16. The one who had not filed income tax return now can do the same until 31st August. The new Form of ITR 2A has been proposed for Assessment Year of 2015-16 after the representation from the public against the information and new columns in the new Income Tax return form that can be filed by a HUF or individual. Why ICAI is bringing new syllabus of 2015-16?

New syllabus for CA 2015-16 applicant has been rolled out by ICAI. It has given a clear notification that the new syllabus will be applicable for CA final year aspirants and same syllabus will also apply for CPT and IPCC qualifiers. There are some reasons that ICAI has introduced New Syllabus for 2015-16, as ICAI wants to make CA education best in the World and to prepare students according to the current industry requirements (practical knowledge). ICAI: The CA exams are Postponed in Nepal

Postponement of Chartered Accountants Examinations Scheduled to be Held From 2nd – 17th May, 2015 at Kathmandu (Nepal). The Intermediate and Final Examinations has been postponed by the Institute of Chartered Accountant of India (ICAI) that was being held in Kathmandu centers from 2nd May, 2015 to 17th May, 2015. Whereas, the institute has not made any changes in the other cities as the exam will be conducted at the given date and centers. For Kathmandu centers, the new date of the examinations at the given centers will be announced soon. Admit Cards are available to download for Intermediate (IPC) and Final May 2015

The eligible candidates can download their admit card for Intermediate (IPC) and Final May 2015 examination. Candidates are requested to bring their photo and signature. The candidates may print their admission letters from the www.icai.nic.in . For downloading of the admission letters, candidates will have to enter the following details on the site: Student registration number or bar code number that is printed on the examination form Personal Identification Number (PIN) In another case, the Examination Committee of the Institute will send the hard copy of admit cards by post only those candidates who submitted off-line examination forms (i.e. OMR). The process of sending hard copy of the admission letters by post is discontinued with effect from May 2014 examinations onwards.
