E-verification of ITR Without Digital Signature

Verifying Income Tax returns has never been this easy as this is in the present times. You can use any of these easy methods to e-Verify your Income tax return rather than furnishing the ITR-V to CPC, Bengaluru, as it is quicker, convenient, and eco-friendly. 

The steps of filing the E-Verification during  filing of the Income Tax Return

2. E-Verification Using Other Modes

i. Using Net Banking 

  1. Go to Net Banking A/C
  2. Tap on the “e-Filing” link
  3. You will be prompt to the e-Filing portal
  4. Tap on the “e-File” Tab and Choose “Income Tax Return” from the drop-down
  5. Choose the “Assessment Year”, “ITR Form Name” & “Submission Mode” & tap “Continue”
  6. Furnish your Return/ Upload the XML
  7. Fulfill the urged ITR e-Verification 
ii. Using Bank Account (For Selected Banks Only)
  1. Go to the e-Filing Portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
  2. Choose the “Profile Settings” & pre-validate your bank account
  3. From the drop-down list tap on the “e-File” Tab and Select “Income Tax Return”
  4. Choose the “Assessment Year”, “ITR Form Name “Submission Mode” and tap on “Continue”
  5. Choose the verification method as “EVC using pre-validate bank account”
  6. EVC (Electronic Verification Code) is sent to the enrolled mobile number through the bank account and valid for about 72 hours from the time of OTP generation. 
  7. Furnish the Return/ Upload the XML
  8. Go to the EVC on the e-Filing Portal
  9. ITR e-Verification has now successfully completed. 
iii. Adopting The Demat Account
  1. Go to the e-Filing Portal by logging into the www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
  2. Choose the “Profile Settings” & pre-validate Demat account
  3. From the drop-down list tap on the “e-File” Tab and Select “Income Tax Return” 
  4. Opt the “Assessment Year”, “ITR Form Name”, “Submission Mode” and then tap on “Continue”
  5. Choose the verification mode as “EVC through pre-validated Demat account”
  6. On the enrolled mobile number with the Demat account, an EVC is to be sent which is valid for only 72 hours from the generation of the OTP. 
  7. Furnish the Return/ Upload the XML
  8. Insert the EVC
  9. ITR e-Verification finishes 
iv. Using Bank ATM
  1. ATM card should be swiped at your Bank ATM
  2. Choose the “PIN for e-Filing”
  3. EVC will be furnished on your registered mobile number with the bank account and is valid for 72 hours from the time of OTP generation. 
  4. Go to e-Filing Portal www.incometaxindiaefiling.gov.in
  5. Through the drop-down tap on the “e-File” Tab and choose the “Income Tax Return”
  6. Choose the “Assessment Year”, “ITR Form Name”, “Submission Mode” and tap “Continue”
  7. Choose the verification method being “Already generated EVC through Bank ATM”
  8. Furnish your Return/ Upload the XML
  9. on the e-Filing Portal go to the EVC 
  10. ITR e-Verification finished

GST Collection of August 2024 Reaches INR 1.75 Lakh Crore
