Generally, GST is a tax on goods and services that India imposes. As an indirect tax, GST has the following characteristics. The Step-by-step Guide to Online GST Registration

Here is a step-by-step method that will help you register for GST online:
  • Visit the official GST website (gst.gov.in) 
  • You can register by clicking on the 'Register Now' button under the 'Taxpayers' tab then ‘New Registration’
  • You will need to fill in the necessary details such as your business name, PAN number, email ID, and mobile number.
  • Enter the Captcha details and then proceed.
  • Your mobile number and email address should be entered along with the OTP you received.
  • You will see a number called a Temporary Reference Number (TRN). To help you in the future, note the TRN.
  • Click 'Register' under the 'Taxpayers' menu on the GST service portal then Select TRN
  • Taxpayers have to file the captcha and the TRN
  • Choose the option and you will get an OTP again
  • Users can proceed with entering this OTP and click
  • Upon completing the online GST registration application, you will receive a status report. Select the 'Edit' icon on your right-hand side.
  • Please fill out as many details as possible and attach scanned copies of the documents.
  • The declaration must be checked after clicking the button labelled 'Verification'.
  • Add your digital signature.
  • The screen will display a success message and you will receive an Application Reference Number (ARN
