Infosys, an IT company, considers that there are some individuals who are facing issues in accessing the income tax portal and specified that the portal is misbehaving while running, integrating within the Revenue Tax Division, to improvise the platform for the users. 

While filing in BSE Infosys directed that there are nearly about 3 crores assessee who have successfully filed their essential transactions and approximately 1.5 crore income-tax returns were furnished via the new portal. 

The company from Bengaluru had been criticized for the arrival problems from various months after the beginning of the portal in June, it also states that it sees revisions in its use towards a previous couple of weeks and exceeding 3 cr assessee have logged in to the portal and furnished various transactions successfully.

IT Services Available on 2.0 Portal

  • E-verification Option: Aadhaar OTP authentication is mostly used in e-verification. The Electronic Verification Code is a 10-digit alpha-numeric code that will be sent on the taxpayer’s registered mobile number and email ID with the income tax e-Filing portal/bank account / Demat account under the case inside the procedure of e-verification. It is only valid up to 72 hours from the time it is generated. 
  • ITR  Forms 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and 7 Ready for the Users to File: There are nearly 2.5 lakh returns that are being submitted each day and ITR 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, and seven are presently received for submission. Also, the law modifications have been made to be received online. 
  • Ready for Filing Statutory Forms and TDS Returns: There are various TDS forms such as 15G, 15H, 10A, 10E, 10IE, EQ1, DTVSV, 15CA, 15CB, 35 along with the TDS Returns that are to be furnished in bigger numbers. An array of law forms shall also be enabled to be available on the portal.
  • Other Taxpayer Services: The services of the assessee’s like e-proceedings, response to notices and demands, e-PAN services, DSC registrations on new ITR e-Filing Portal, and functionality towards legal heir is indeed open for the users at present.
